SABS STANDARD FOR GAME AND WILD ANIMALS
LAWA was requested by the South African Bureau of standards to cooperate in the formulation
of a standard regarding the capture, translation and handling of specific species and wild
animals, including elephants, as well as carnivorous animals. Also, in the research and
production of a very detailed code pertaining to the construction and use of all vehicles which
may be used in the transport of any and all species of wild animals and game. The code
detailing the design and construction of vehicles specifically for the transport of elephants,
rhino, felines such as lion, and reptiles such as crocodiles was particularly intensive.
